Review of Percy Jackson and the Olympian

by Tenzin Choekyi

Percy Jackson is the New York Times #1 best-selling series. Rick Riordan is an American author who created books, movies, etc. Percy Jackson and the Olympians II out of 5 is only number II of his Percy Jackson series!

Trouble is at camp Half-Blood when Thaila, daughter of Zeus tree was poisoned and their camp director, Chiron was blamed for it. Percy and his friend Annabeth and his half-brother/ cyclops are trying to find the mystery enemy who poisoned the tree!

Percy and Annabeth and their best friend Grover who is a satyr and half goat were on a quest last summer and would do anything to save each other. Grover went on a quest where no satyr came back alive in 2,000 years. Percy feels as if Grover is in trouble and when Percy and Tyson and Annabeth go to save Grover their new mean camp director, Tantalus stops them. Percy, Annabeth, and Tyson need to find a way to save Grover.

Percy, son of Poseidon has a new half-brother, Tyson, a cyclops who is called a monster based on his looks. Percy feels embarrassed being his brother and is now questioning whether being the son of Poseidon is an honor or an embarrassment. Poseidon takes Tyson underwater for a quest and not Percy and Percy is wondering if his own dad wants him to be his son.

Percy Jackson and the Olympians is a great book and perfect for fans of Greek mythology! This book contains A LOT of Greek mythology and Percy goes on MANY adventures/quests in the series and you can really understand the character's feelings. The book just contains a lot of details. I really liked the book because this book was written so well even though I thought I was Percy Jackson myself.
